6. 12/6 vs Denver Nuggets

Result: Win (108-95)

Starting from here on out, the rest of these games will be great. That isn’t intended to take anything away from the previous entries, but they just didn’t have the same *energy* as the next ones on the list. However, let it be known that every Celtic win is special, but some are just more fun to watch.

The Denver Nuggets previously beat the Boston Celtics in Denver. During that game, Kemba Walker was forced to leave with a rather scary neck injury. Denver escaped with a win, but Boston had revenge on its mind in this one. From the opening tip, Boston played with more movement on offense and they shut down Denver’s high-powered offense on the other end.

This game also was a preview for fans around the world of the talent that both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown had. Their chemistry was unmatched, and they each had a big play down the stretch of the third quarter that ignited the Boston crowd.

Holding the Nuggets to just 41.5 precent shooting is a difficult thing to do, but the Celtics accomplished that. Some of the next games up on the list will also see a strong defensive performance from the Celtics, so it’s clear to see their defense is a huge x-factor. Going forward from the All-Star break, that should be the side of the ball they focus on the most. Defense leads to offense, and it also famously leads to championships as history has shown us over the years.
