With All-Star Weekend right around the corner, now is a better time than ever to take a look at the Boston Celtics’ top 10 games up to this point.
It’s no secret that this NBA season has not been short of excitement. The Boston Celtics have bounced back after a disastrous 2018-19 season, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking like the dominant force they were in the early 2010s, and the talent shift that reshaped the league in the summer has kept everything competitive.
Not to mention, typically dominant teams like the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs have taken a step down for this season, which has allowed for teams like the Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder to be a part of the playoff conversation when many didn’t think they would be at the start of the season.
Luka Doncic and Trae Young have kept the comparisons coming with their strong play, and teams like the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors have been better than people have expected.
Due to every game being more competitive than usual, there have been a surplus of games that fans can’t forget. And it’s only been half a season.
Back to the Celtics. They had a big roster makeover, and not many people saw them as a top-3 seed heading into the season. Yet, they lie at 3rd heading into the midway point, and are within striking distance of the 2nd seed.
The Celtics have played in many close and fierce games up to this point. Whether it be against great teams or bad, they have had numerous wild finishes and comebacks. Therefore, it’s truly tough to label what the top 10 games are that the club has been a part of.
However, there’s no fun in not trying. Therefore, the upcoming slides are going to attempt to rank the C’s top 10 games from the past five months.
The Celtics have 30+ wins, so many good games, while not being forgotten, just simply won’t be in the rankings. Feel free to leave your favorites in the comments if they don’t show up here.
