How we got here

On the 6th of July, 2019, Terry Rozier joined the Charlotte Hornets in a sign-and-trade that looked like this:

In a trade where both teams exchanged point guards, we saw the end of the Kemba Walker era in Charlotte and the beginning of a new era, an era where Terry Rozier was finally the main man.

It was sad seeing Kemba Walker departing Charlotte to Boston on a new contract. But our man of the hour, Terry Rozier, signed a three-year contract worth $56.7 million. It’s a massive deal for Rozier and in a bizarre twist is worth almost as much as the $58.7 million Walker made in his eight years in Charlotte.
