The Atlanta Hawks continue to be busy before the deadline, sending out Jabari Parker and Alex Len for Dewayne Dedmon. Here are the NBA trade grades.

The reinvention of the Atlanta Hawks continued Wednesday night in advance of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline as they reacquired center Dewayne Dedmon from the Sacramento Kings to back up newly acquired Clint Capela, sending out Jabari Parker and Alex Len in the swap. Here are the NBA trade grades for the deal.

More from Hoops Habit

Dedmon returns to the Hawks less than seven months after signing the largest contract of his career, a three-year, $40 million deal with Sacramento, after becoming a legitimate stretch 5 over his two seasons in Atlanta.

Parker, meanwhile, continues to travel the NBA rapidly, heading to his fourth team in the last two seasons after coming to the Hawks on a two-year, $13 million free-agent contract last July. Len is in the final year of the two-year, $8.5 million contract he signed with the Hawks in August 2018.

Len had also become something of a floor stretching threat last season, but like Dedmon had seen his shooting touch falter this season. Parker has missed all but one game since Dec. 23 due to an impingement in his right shoulder.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN was first to report the trade Wednesday night. Sam Amick of The Athletic later confirmed the picks heading to Atlanta will be a the Houston Rockets’ 2020 second-rounder and the 2021 second-round pick originally belonging to the Miami Heat.

Let’s grade the trade, first from the Hawks side of the ledger.
