3 reasons the Philadelphia 76ers won’t make any NBA Trade Deadline moves

The Philadelphia 76ers may want to make a move, but natural roadblocks may prevent them from making the move they want to at the NBA trade deadline.
Some are looking at a Philadelphia 76ers trade as one of the major dominoes that must fall before a runoff of moves will be made at the NBA trade deadline. Considering Elton Brand made big moves right before the deadline last season and that the Sixers do have some offensive needs, that seems logical at first glance.
The team is 20th in 3-point shooting, and at 31-20 they sit at sixth in the Eastern Conference. Most expected this team to sprint for first in the Eastern Conference, now they are fighting to gain home-court advantage in the opening round of the playoffs.
When you look under the hood in Philly, though, it becomes clear that some of the inner workings of a possible trade — especially when considering the motivations of the Sixers and the teams they might want to deal with — are tough to get through.
The team certainly needs to be better. This may be one of the few years the Sixers have an extremely realistic look at a title. That window shrinks a bit next season with Kevin Durant returning from injury in the East and the Stephen Curry/Klay Thompson duo returning in the West.
The question for Philly is whether or not a trade is the answer to get better.
It may be that the best move for the Sixers at the deadline is no move.
Here are three reasons why the Philadelphia 76ers might not make a move prior to Thursday.
