Orlando Magic

Firmly entrenched in the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Orlando Magic aren’t likely to make any sell-now moves. However, according to Wojnarowski, the Magic have had conversations about Aaron Gordon. It would take a major haul, and the specific nature of those conversations remains unknown, but Gordon seems marginally the most likely of a very unlikely group of Magic players to be moved at the trade deadline.

Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers are sliding hard. They’re firmly in the six seed and can’t seem to buy a win on the road, and they need to fix whatever ails them quickly. Zaire Smith is a player who has some upside, a reasonable rookie scale salary this season at just over $3 million with two more years of team control after this season ends. He could be an ancillary piece in a move that could lead to an upgrade for the Sixers.

Phoenix Suns

Trade talks heated up Monday night between the Phoenix Suns and the Detroit Pistons. Luke Kennard was discussed between the two teams with the Suns sending back a package including Jevon Carter. On a minimum expiring contract, Carter is a cheap salary piece who could be packaged in any deal, and that makes him the most likely Sun to be on the move.
