Kris Dunn just has not been great in Chicago. Furthermore, Coby White seems to be a much better option as the starting point guard of the future. The Chicago Bulls could look to ship off Dunn in effort to get a first-round pick from Phoenix that looks like it could be in an advantageous position.

They would also get Tyler Johnson‘s expiring contract to clear some cap space this summer heading into free agency.

For the Suns, the point guard position has been somewhat of an issue the past few seasons. While Ricky Rubio is a serviceable point guard, he certainly isn’t their long-term guy. Phoenix could see Dunn being a better option for the future as well as pick up a veteran in Thaddeus Young.

Neither of these teams look like playoff teams this season. Making a move like this to shake things up could be good for both teams as well as their fan bases.
