Why not make an early pitch to Giannis Antetokounmpo that you are serious about being a great team for the foreseeable future? This could be an early free-agency pitch as the Milwaukee Bucks can offer him a supermax extension this summer. They would be trading one of their two first-round picks this year plus a future pick in this deal.

However, it could be worth it as Giannis would then be playing alongside two NBA All-Stars in Khris Middleton and D’Angelo Russell.

The Warriors should be in no rush to move Russell. This trade could maybe get them to bite though. Getting a quality point guard to back up Stephen Curry as well as a young guard in Donte DiVincenzo could be enticing. Not to mention they would be getting two first-round picks for a guy they got for absolutely nothing last summer.

The Bucks, who already have the NBA’s best record, would by far be the favorite in the East after a trade like this.
