The Golden State Warriors are in the perfect spot. They have four All-Star level players in Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and D’Angelo Russell. However, due to injures, they have been able to tank this season and project to have an extremely high pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

With that said, they still have leverage to continue to get even better in preparation for the 2020-21 season. In the proposed trade, they would acquire Kyle Kuzma while sending out Alec Burks, Jordan Poole and a 2022 first-round pick.

Jordan Poole is a young guy who could develop in the Lakers’ system and Alec Burks is a scoring threat the Lakers need right now. He’s averaging 15.9 points per game this season on 35.5 percent shooting from deep.

If the Lakers are going to make a playoff push while also building for the future, this is a trade that might make some sense for them. Kuzma has been extremely inconsistent for them this season.
