81. . 28-14. Previous: . Toronto Raptors. 9. team

Last week: Lost to San Antonio 105-104, won at Oklahoma City 130-121, beat Washington 140-111, won at Minnesota 122-112

This week: Monday at Atlanta, Wednesday vs. Philadelphia, Friday at New York

The Toronto Raptors stubbed their collective toe against the Spurs last Sunday, but responded with three consecutive wins, including two on the road at Oklahoma City and Minnesota. The defending champs are getting healthier, getting back Pascal Siakam, Marc Gasol, Norman Powell and Fred VanVleet within the last week.

Powell, who had missed 11 games with a left shoulder subluxation (the head of the humerus moves partially out of its socket … ouch), came back with a vengeance.

He returned against the Spurs last Sunday and scored at least 20 points in all four games, averaging 22.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 28.1 minutes a game, shooting 61.4 percent overall and knocking down 48.0 percent on 6.3 deep balls a game, with the last three of those appearances coming off the bench.

Last week: Lost at Indiana 101-95, beat Brooklyn 117-106, beat Chicago 100-89, won at New York 90-87

This week: Monday at Brooklyn, Wednesday at Toronto, Saturday vs. Lakers

The Philadelphia 76ers closed the week with three consecutive wins, including snapping a six-game road losing streak with Saturday night’s win at New York. The 90-87 win over the Knicks marked the 76ers’ lowest point total in a win this season and was just their fourth win in 13 games this season when scoring less than 100 points.

Ben Simmons had a very consistent week, scoring at least 20 points in all four games while averaging 21.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 39.6 minutes per game. Simmons shot 61.3 percent from the floor, but was just 9-for-19 at the foul line. He had 24 points and 14 boards in Monday’s loss at Indiana.
