Negative – Injuries

The Cleveland Cavaliers have done a lot of things to hold themselves back this season, but nothing has limited them more than injuries.

This team isn’t built for the playoffs but a completely healthy roster could have gone a long way for the Cavaliers this season. Players such as John Henson, Kevin Porter Jr. and Dylan Windler all could have had a strong impact on the season.

We already saw how beneficial Porter can be when he is on the court. His knee injury robbed the Cavaliers of some exciting basketball.

As for Henson, he has been highly productive when on the floor, averaging 7.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in his last six games. Sadly, Henson has only been able to appear in 21 games due to reoccurring injuries.

Worst of all, Windler hasn’t been able to make his NBA debut yet and is expected to miss his entire season with a stress fracture in his leg. Windler averaged 21.3 points and 10.8 rebounds last year in college and could have helped the Cavaliers in a major way.

Windler’s ability to spread the floor and rebound the ball will be greatly appreciated by the Cavaliers. It’s a shame we haven’t been able to see him play yet but we can look forward to watching his debut next season.
