Previous: . Golden State Warriors. 29. team. 41. . 9-31

Last week: Lost at Sacramento 111-98, lost to Milwaukee 107-98, lost at Clippers 109-100

This week: Sunday at Memphis, Tuesday vs. Dallas, Thursday vs. Denver, Saturday vs. Orlando

The losing streak is now at seven games for the Golden State Warriors after an 0-3 week, which has taken the shine off their four-game winning streak late last month. With D’Angelo Russell still out with a bruised shoulder, the Warriors’ offense just lacks firepower, as evidenced by their 98.7 points per game in their three losses last week.

When your role players are having the best weeks on your club, it’s often because the entire team was sort of meh. Omari Spellman falls into the latter category after a very good week, to be fair. Spellman averaged 13.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals in 22.5 minutes per game, shooting 50.0 percent overall and hitting 7-of-15 from deep.

. 10-29. Previous: . New York Knicks. 28. team. 27

Last week: Lost at Clippers 135-132, lost at Lakers 117-87, lost at Utah 128-104, lost to New Orleans 123-111

This week: Sunday vs. Miami, Tuesday at Milwaukee, Thursday vs. Phoenix, Saturday vs. Philadelphia

After showing signs of life after their coaching change last month, the New York Knicks have hit the skids again, losing five in a row overall, including three consecutive games by at least 12 points and going 0-4 on a Western road trip through Phoenix, the two L.A. teams and Utah. The low point of the road trip was back-to-back losses to the Lakers and Jazz by 30 and 24 points, respectively.

Rookie RJ Barrett continues to show promise, even amid all the losing, averaging 17.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 31.8 minutes per game last week. Barrett shot 43.6 percent overall, made 2-of-9 from deep and — encouragingly — hit 76.0 percent on 6.3 free throw attempts a game, getting his season average up to a still really not good 58.5 percent.
