By Tony Pesta
The Cleveland Cavaliers need to work on strengthening these three glaring weaknesses.
Growth is the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ main objective for the 2019-20 NBA season. Finding a way to successfully develop the young core is the ultimate goal.
Following an inspiring 115-112 overtime victory against the Detroit Pistons, the Cavaliers are feeling good about themselves. Tristan Thompson poured in a career-high 35 points with 14 rebounds to help break a five-game losing streak for Cleveland.

Thompson is a perfect example of a player who has taken full advantage of this season to display his growth. Playing in his ninth NBA season, Thompson is scoring at a career-best rate and has become the team’s vocal leader.
Meanwhile, Darius Garland has continued to make strides. As a rookie, the learning curve has been steep for DG. After a slow start to the season, Garland has averaged 16.0 points and 4.9 assists across his last seven games.
As the Cavaliers continue to move forward with their rebuild, it is vital that each player works on strengthening their weaknesses. The squad has three glaring weaknesses as a whole and fixing these issues should be at the top of the Cavs priority list.
