3. Tristan Thompson
The Canadian big man is one of the longest current tenured players in the NBA, but might be on his way to a new team soon.
Tristan Thompson was selected No. 4 overall in the 2011 NBA Draft. Beginning his career alongside a budding star in Kyrie Irving, Thompson willed his way into the starting lineup through his grit-and-grind attitude.
Through the years, TT has transformed from a pure hustle player to one of actual talent. Thompson is averaging a career-high 12.4 points and has shown a soft touch on his hook shot around the rim.
Thompson has also shown signs of potential as a 3-point shooter. He has been very limited in his approach but has knocked down 3-of-7 attempts from deep.
Any fringe playoff team in the league could use Thompson. He is an energetic forward ready to compete at a high level once again.
The only potential issue is that Thompson’s contract will come to an end with the season. Because of this, the Cleveland Cavaliers would need to find a destination to which Thompson is willing to commit long-term.
