As a fan of the beautiful brand of basketball this team has played during their run, I’d love to see them have an opportunity to compete with the LA Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers next season.
A return to form for their two cornerstone shooters is more vital to that than a draft pick or trade, but nevertheless, the Golden State Warriors have shown before they are not the type to rest on their laurels.
Acquiring an additional star is not the only route back to contention, but it is the one I ultimately expect them to take if the opportunity presents itself. Efficient movement and patience will be vital, as jumping at the first opportunity to upgrade could leave them out of the running for a better deal within a few months.
