The San Antonio Spurs have been the worst NBA odds value against the spread this season, but have been better. Against the wounded Warriors, they’ll be fine.

If you’ve played the NBA odds at all this season, you’ve already learned the San Antonio Spurs have been far from their old reliable selves. They have fewer wins against the spread — 11 — than any other team in the NBA and are only 5-12 ATS at home.

But hosting a Golden State Warriors squad that comes in not only missing Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson — the norm this season as both are out with long-term injuries — but also D’Angelo Russell, the only thing approaching a reliable scorer the Warriors have. Russell has a bruised right shoulder and has been ruled out for Tuesday night.

More from Hoops Habit

Golden State will also be without big man Kevon Looney, who has been plagued by ailments all season, and fellow big Willie Cauley-Stein is doubtful because of illness. While the Warriors are likely to get rookie surprise Eric Paschall back from a two-game absence due to a bruised right hip, the club will more resemble Draymond Green and the Santa Cruz Warriors rather than a squad that’s been to five consecutive NBA Finals.

The Spurs are healthy and are 6-3-1 ATS over their last 10 games after a dismal 5-16 start against the number. They’ve also won six of those 10 games outright and are 3-3 ATS at home. Golden State is trending well — 4-1 ATS in their last five — but their 20-point drubbing at the hands of the Mavericks on Saturday felt very much like a bursting bubble.

Take the Spurs and lay the nine points with confidence.

Golden State Warriors at San Antonio Spurs (minus 9)

Tickets: AT&T Center, 6 p.m. local (7 p.m. Eastern)
Records: Golden State 9-25 (16-17-1 ATS, 8-9 road ATS), San Antonio 13-18 (11-19-1 ATS, 5-12 home ATS)

Golden State: OUT–Stephen Curry (left hand fracture), Kevon Looney (left abdominal soreness), Jordan Poole (G League), D’Angelo Russell (right shoulder contusion), Klay Thompson (left ACL rehabilitation); DOUBTFUL–Willie Cauley-Stein (illness); PROBABLE–Eric Paschall (right hip contusion).
San Antonio: OUT–Drew Eubanks (two-way, G League), Keldon Johnson (G League), Luka Samanic (G League), Quinndary Weatherspoon (two-way, G League).

There are six other games on the New Year’s Eve docket and here is a look at the NBA odds info on all of them, with information provided courtesy of The Action Network.

Boston Celtics (minus 8½) at Charlotte Hornets

TV: NBC Sports Boston (Celtics), Fox Sports Southeast-Charlotte (Hornets)
Tickets: Spectrum Center, 3 p.m. local (3 p.m. Eastern)
Records: Boston 22-8 (18-10-2 ATS, 9-5-1 road ATS), Charlotte 13-22 (16-18-1 ATS, 8-9 home ATS)

Availability Report
Boston: OUT–Jaylen Brown (illness), Carsen Edwards (G League), Tacko Fall (two-way, G League), Vincent Poirier (right pinkie fracture), Tremont Waters (two-way, G League), Robert Williams (left hip, bone edema).
Charlotte: OUT–Robert Franks (two-way, G League), Caleb Martin (G League), Jalen McDaniels (G League), Kobi Simmons (two-way, G League).

Notable: The Boston Celtics had their five-game winning streak stopped on Saturday when they were drubbed at home by the Raptors, but are still on a run where they are 12-6 ATS over their last 18 games. That includes a 6-4 ATS mark in their last 10 and they have two covers in their last three road contests. But Jaylen Brown will sit this one out with an illness.

The Charlotte Hornets, meanwhile, are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games — all straight-up losses — as breakout star Devonte’ Graham has been mired in a terrible shooting slump, making just 27.0 percent overall and 29.8 percent from 3-point range over his last eight games. This is the third meeting of these teams this season, with Boston getting blowout wins at home and in Charlotte.

Philadelphia 76ers (minus 1) at Indiana Pacers

TV: NBC Sports Philadelphia (76ers), Fox Sports Indiana (Pacers)
Tickets: Bankers Life Fieldhouse, 3 p.m. local (3 p.m. Eastern)
Records: Philadelphia 23-12 (17-17-1 ATS, 8-9 road ATS), Indiana 21-12 (17-13-3 ATS, 9-5-3 home ATS)

Availability Report
Philadelphia: OUT–Jonah Bolden (G League), Marial Shayok (two-way, G League), Zhaire Smith (G League), Matisse Thybulle (right knee sprain/bone bruise).
Indiana: OUT–Naz Mitrou-Long (sprained right ankle), Victor Oladipo (right knee surgery rehab); QUESTIONABLE–Edmond Sumner (sore right knee); PROBABLE–Malcolm Brogdon (sore left hamstring).

Notable: This is a matchup of two upper-tier teams that have each lost their last two games straight up, so something has to give here. The Indiana Pacers got a shot of good news with point guard Malcolm Brogdon upgraded to probable after sitting three games with a sore hamstring. Even with the slump, the Philadelphia 76ers are 4-1 ATS over their last five games.

But the Pacers are 6-3 ATS in their last nine and are on a five-game home winning streak in straight-up terms. In their first meeting this season in Philadelphia, the 76ers came away with a 119-116 victory, but Indiana got the cover at 6½-point road underdogs. It was the Pacers’ only cover against Philly in their last three meetings.

LA Clippers (minus 7) at Sacramento Kings

TV: Fox Sports Prime Ticket (Clippers), NBC Sports California (Kings)
Tickets: Golden 1 Center, 2 p.m. local (5 p.m. Eastern)
Records: LA 23-11 (18-15 ATS, 8-9 road ATS), Sacramento 12-21 (17-16 ATS, 5-9 home ATS)

Availability Report
LA: OUT–Patrick Beverley (sprained right wrist), Mfiondu Kabengele (G League), Terance Mann (G League).
Sacramento: OUT–Marvin Bagley III (left foot sprain), Kyle Guy (two-way, G League), DaQuan Jeffries (two-way, G League); PROBABLE–De’Aaron Fox (low back spasms).

Notable: The LA Clippers have covered their last seven meetings with the Sacramento Kings and have won nine straight games in the series straight up, but there may be a reason for wariness Tuesday as the Clips won’t have the emotional leader of the club. Patrick Beverley will sit with a sprained wrist and while he’s not their best player, he is a tone-setter for this talented group.

The Kings are in a steep drop — losers of seven in a row overall and just 1-6 ATS in that span. They have also failed to cover in their last six games at Golden 1 Center. This is the first meeting of the season for these Pacific Division rivals. Sacramento could get a boost from getting De’Aaron Fox (probable) back — again — after he sat out with back spasms in Sunday’s loss at Denver.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Toronto Raptors (minus 9½)

TV: Fox Sports Ohio (Cavaliers), TSN4 (Raptors)
Tickets: Scotiabank Arena, 7 p.m. local (7 p.m. Eastern)
Records: Cleveland 10-22 (14-16-2 ATS, 7-8-1 road ATS), Toronto 22-11 (17-14-1 ATS, 10-7 home ATS)

Availability Report
Cleveland: OUT–Tyler Cook (two-way, G League), Dean Wade (two-way, G League), Dylan Windler (stress reaction, left lower leg).
Toronto: OUT–Marc Gasol (left hamstring strain), Dewan Hernandez (right ankle sprain), Norman Powell (left shoulder subluxation), Pascal Siakam (groin strain), Matt Thomas (left middle finger fracture).

Notable: The Cleveland Cavaliers have shown signs of competence of late, going 4-1 ATS and straight up over their last five games, but those wins weren’t exactly against the creme de la creme in the NBA — Charlotte, Memphis, Atlanta and Minnesota. The banged-up Toronto Raptors are 6-3 ATS in their last nine, but have three straight-up losses in their last four games.

In their first meeting this season, also in Toronto, the Raptors cruised to a 133-113 win on Dec. 16 as 12½-point favorites and have won and covered in two of the last three meetings with Cleveland. In the deceptive stats department, the Cavs are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 against the Raptors … but two of those losses came after some dude named LeBron James left The Land.

Denver Nuggets at Houston Rockets (minus 1)

TV: Altitude Sports (Nuggets), AT&T SportsNet-Southwest (Rockets), NBA TV (national)
Tickets: Toyota Center, 6 p.m. local (7 p.m. Eastern)
Records: Denver 23-9 (13-16-3 ATS, 6-6-1 road ATS), Houston 22-11 (16-17 ATS, 7-8 home ATS)

Availability Report
Denver: OUT–Bol Bol (left foot injury management), PJ Dozier (two-way, G League), Paul Millsap (left knee contusion); PROBABLE–Gary Harris (left shin contusion).
Houston: OUT–Michael Frazier (two-way, G League), Gerald Green (left cuneiform fracture), Nene (left adductor strain), William Howard (two-way, G League); QUESTIONABLE–Clint Capela (right heel contusion), James Harden (right toe sprain).

Notable: Those warning sirens are to let you know to steer clear of this one as there is just too much unknown. It’s one thing for the Houston Rockets to not be sure of the status of big man Clint Capela, but with James Harden questionable? Danger lurks here in both directions. Jump on the Nuggets and Harden plays? Trap. Jump on the Rockets and guess wrong on The Beard? Trap.

Houston 4-2 ATS in their last six, but have covered just once in their last three at Toyota Center. Denver has been a betting nightmare over their last six games — going 5-1 straight up and just 1-4-1 ATS. The Nuggets won at home the first time these teams met back on Nov. 20, getting a 105-95 decision as one-point favorites.

Dallas Mavericks (minus 1) at Oklahoma City Thunder

TV: Fox Sports Southwest-Dallas (Mavericks), Fox Sports Oklahoma (Thunder)
Tickets: Chesapeake Energy Arena, 7 p.m. local (8 p.m. Eastern)
Records: Dallas 21-11 (18-14 ATS, 12-4 road ATS), Oklahoma City 17-15 (20-12 ATS, 10-7 home ATS)

more NBA. Ranking the All-Decade starting 5s. light

Availability Report
Dallas: OUT–Antonius Cleveland (two-way, G League), Josh Reaves (two-way, G League), Isaiah Roby (right plantar fascia); QUESTIONABLE–Ryan Broekhoff (left knee contusion), Luka Doncic (left wrist sprain/back contusion), Tim Hardaway Jr. (left hamstring strain).
Oklahoma City: OUT–Hamidou Diallo (right elbow hyperextension sprain), Justin Patton (G League), Andre Roberson (left knee injury recovery); QUESTIONABLE–Danilo Gallinari (left ankle soreness), Dennis Schroder (right ankle soreness).

Notable: Lots of questions here. Luka Doncic and Tim Hardaway Jr. represent a large chunk of the offense for the Dallas Mavericks and both are questionable. Danilo Gallinari and Dennis Schroder represent a large chunk of the offense for the Oklahoma City Thunder and both are questionable. The Mavs are 2-4 ATS over their last six games, while OKC is 4-1 ATS in its last five contests.

But in their last five games at Chesapeake Energy Arena, the Thunder are just 2-3 ATS. Both of Dallas’ covers from the last six games came on the road, where they are 4-2 ATS in their last six games. It’s the first meeting of the season between the teams and Dallas has won and covered two of the last three times the Mavs and Oklahoma City have tangled.
