The San Antonio Spurs have won over 60 games four times this decade — not including the lockout-shortened 2011-12 campaign, where their .758 winning percentage eclipses a 60-win pace. They made back-to-back Finals and took home a championship in 2014.

Through it all remained the constant presence of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker. Along with Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge, however, their contributions were circumstantial, a nod to their unselfish ways in putting the team above the individual.

So, imagine for a second piecing together the best versions of several Spurs teams with plenty of success on their own.

Consider pairing an MVP-caliber Kawhi Leonard with a Big Three that has far less attrition on their bodies. Or maybe LaMarcus Aldridge running pick-and-pops with spryer versions of both Parker or Ginobili.

The scenarios are endless and the talent overwhelming, no surprise for the franchise with unparalleled amounts of elite consistency and unmatched championship discipline to weather any storm that comes their way.
