21. Phoenix Suns 2010s all-decade starting lineup

  1. Steve Nash
  2. Devin Booker
  3. Gerald Green
  4. Amar’e Stoudemire
  5. Deandre Ayton

The pick-and-roll duo of Steve Nash and Amar’e Stoudemire is one of the greatest in NBA history. Now, it’s flanked by a deadly all-around scorer, an uber-athletic floor-spacing forward and a physically imposing interior presence offensively.

Devin Booker is possibly an ideal fit next to Nash, certainly not at the defensive end, but as the go-to perimeter threat Nash never had and was never willing to be who can operate off the ball as well.

Gerald Green is a liability defensively, but he had his best individual season as a member of the Subs when he averaged a career-high 15.8 points per game while shooting 40.0 percent from downtown. As long as he continues to use his athleticism to his advantage in transition, Nash will make sure to get him the ball by pushing the pace even at a slightly advanced age.

Deandre Ayton and Stoudemire make for an interesting pairing. Both are limited defensively with range stretching only to the free-throw line. With a floor general like Nash, though, one has to imagine that an elite orchestrator will get the most out of two players who could wreak havoc around the rim.

The Phoenix Suns would easily rank among the best in the league offensively, but the other end is a different story, where not even Nash could keep them from surrendering nearly as many points as they put up.
