3. Utah torches the Knicks for 20 threes at MSG
The Utah Jazz initially broke their team record for most threes on Dec. 4, 2018, against the San Antonio Spurs. They tied this record during a road trip to New York on March 20, 2019. Utah had the Knicks’ number from the opening tip and at the half they owned a 74-47 lead before finishing the game with a 137-116 romp.
Donovan Mitchell (five 3s) and Joe Ingles (six 3s) ignited the team’s 3-point barrage, while Jae Crowder and Kyle Korver splashed three triples apiece off the bench. Royce O’Neale and Raul Neto each added in a 3 and with 2:47 remaining in the fourth quarter, Grayson Allen drained the team’s 20th 3 to tie the record.
Granted, the Knicks weren’t the strongest of opponents at the time, but winning at MSG in dominating fashion is always a great feeling for a team. Moreover, this win capped off a five game winning streak, and following their victory in New York, the Jazz finished the season 8-3.
