On March 2, the Utah Jazz hosted and defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 115-111. Donovan Mitchell led the way with 46 points, three rebounds, six assists, two steals and five made triples. On the other side, eventual MVP-winner Giannis Antetokounmpo poured in 43 points of his own to go along with 14 boards, eight assists, two steals and a block.

With a little under 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Jazz found themselves down 17, their largest deficit of the night. From this point on, Mitchell took over. He recorded 19 of his 46 points during this time, including a clutch 3 with 42.5 seconds remaining to give Utah a five-point lead and a pair of free throws to ice the game with eight seconds left.

In addition to Mitchell’s career night, forward Derrick Favors added in a monstrous 23-point,18-rebound double-double of his own, which included a mammoth dunk over Ersan Ilyasova in the second quarter.

All in all, this game was a major statement win for the Jazz. Not only did they add one more in the win column in the season’s penultimate month, they did so against the team that would finish the season with the NBA’s best record.
