Minnesota Timberwolves: Revisiting the 2010s
By Ethan Becker
2019-20 Season
Current Record: 11-19
High Point So Far: Karl-Anthony Towns has been the biggest story in the 2019-20 season, both for good and for bad. On the good side, Towns has shown that the run he went on in the second half of last season was no fluke. In the games he’s played, Towns has averaged career highs in points, assists, and steals per game. He’s also working on a shooting split of 51/41/60.
Andrew Wiggins has also stepped up huge this season and is showing the fans that it’s just a little too early to be giving up on him just yet.
Low Point So Far: The Minnesota Timberwolves have just snapped an 11-game losing streak. The performance of the team over that streak was horrid and hopefully won’t soon be repeated.
Towns has also provided the team with its low point this season as well. He’s currently missed seven games, during which Minnesota is just 2-5. The absence of Towns has hurt the team in a way that shows how important he is to this squad.
