5. Oubre helps Suns stun Bucks at home (March 4)

Amid the disastrous start the Phoenix Suns had to the 2019 year was a shocking upset win over the top-ranked Milwaukee Bucks on March 4. Not only had the Bucks entered as 15.5-point favorites, but the team nearly had fewer losses (16) than the Suns had wins (14) at that point of the year.

Kelly Oubre played his part in the Suns’ victory, tallying 27 points and 13 rebounds to lead Phoenix. That included a clutch 3-point shot Oubre hit to give the Suns a 103-100 lead in the fourth quarter. With the win, Phoenix swept the two-game series against the Bucks and handed  Milwaukee their first consecutive losses of the 2018-19 season.

Even sweeter was the fact the Suns had just come off a home win over the Los Angeles Lakers two days before and would follow the victory with a win over the New York Knicks on March 6. And not to be forgotten in the win was the pairing of Devin Booker (22 points) and Deandre Ayton (19 points and 12 rebounds), who alongside Oubre starred for the Suns.

Though the odds were heavily against them, Phoenix put together a quality win over the Bucks and displayed their high potential capabilities.
