1. Front. Office. Overhaul.

Well, the obvious one had to be left for the end.

Have a chat with any non-secretive New York Knicks fan about what’s wrong with the organization and keep tab of how many times they mention the following three names: James Dolan, Steve Mills and Scott Perry.

The entire organization seems to be as dysfunctional as an elementary level basketball team. For instance, following the firing of head coach David Fizdale, instead of addressing the media — which is something that they often do — Mills and Perry decided to throw newly appointed interim coach Mike Miller into the snake pit.

If what happened still puzzles you, just think of it as “sending the ex-assistant coach to answer the matter of why the ex-head coach was fired and not addressing it yourselves as president and general manager”.

On the contrary, the front office doesn’t hesitate to address other extremely important issues. For example, a 39-year-old retired Richard Jefferson claiming that the Knicks offered him a contract drove him towards retirement.

The whole atmosphere at Madison Square Garden seems to be off lately. And within this context “lately” would be a term covering at least a decade of basketball.

Above is a video of New York Knicks legend Charles Oakley, a player that played his heart out for the franchise, getting thrown out of The Garden due to a verbal dispute with owner James Dolan. Following that, is a clip of –you guessed it– James Dolan, banning a fan from the same place for simply telling him to “Sell the team”.

At this point and time, someone would be starting to come to the realization of why free agents don’t seem to choose the Knicks, a franchise with some glorious history on a beautiful city with loving fans.
