4. Mitchell Robinson reaches 20-20 territory

In a game near the end of the 2018-19 NBA season, the Kawhi Leonard-less Toronto Raptors absolutely destroyed the New York Knicks, as expected. Pascal Siakam scored 31 points in a team effort as the Raptors hit 20 3-point shots.

On the bright side, Mitchell Robinson once again proved that he rightfully belonged on an All-Rookie team by reaching new heights.

He scored 19 points and grabbed 21 rebounds in what was without a doubt his best game as a rookie — career highs in rebounds and points, though he surpassed the points total against the Atlanta Hawks last week.

To take things into perspective, the entire Raptors starting five racked 21 rebounds. Robinson did it alone … while coming off the bench.

Yeah.

3. Luka Doncic produces triple-double magic

You’ve probably heard of that kid from Slovenia that plays for the Mavericks and rumor has it, he’s pretty good at basketball. Nowadays, Luka Doncic is recording triple-doubles for a living and doing a pretty good job at it too.

In the ongoing season, Doncic is averaging nearly a 30-point triple-double. And even though his rookie campaign was nothing short of extraordinary, few were set for a sophomore season quite like this one.

In a much-anticipated game featuring the Mavericks and the Knicks in which Kristaps Porzingis would step on MSG grounds for the first time since leaving, Doncic managed to steal the show, somehow.

Luckily for the Knicks, his 33 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists were not enough to grant his team the win as the season series ended with a sweep 2-0 in favor of the New York Knicks.
