8. Joel Embiid’s 27 points/17 rebounds

Just a few weeks ago, in a game that can only be considered an upset, the Philadelphia 76ers managed to defeat the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in a complete nail biter. To be honest, most people would be wondering how such a result is considered an upset.

The Knicks led by double digits throughout much of the first half, only to be canceled by Philadelphia’s efforts to win the game in the final stages of the game.

The main reason behind this win was Joel Embiid, who had a staggering game and was practically unguardable and a nightmare on both sides of the court. The only consolation prize for the Knicks would have to be Embiid’s shooting percentage, as he was 7-for-19 from the field (36.8 percent).

7. Mitchell Robinson’s 6 blocks double-double

Moving from a center to yet another center, this time it was Mitchell Robinson‘s athletic abilities that kept the engine running to make it two consecutive home wins. Immediately after Dennis Smith Jr.’s 19/13 game, Robinson picked up exactly where his teammate left off.

Their opponents, the Orlando Magic, pretty much had the game in the bag throughout the first three quarters, only to fall short by a more-than-impressive fourth quarter by New York.

The Knicks were playing good basketball during the fourth quarter and the crowd seemed to really enjoy it. They scored 30 points while conceding less than half that amount, just 13 points.
