10. RJ Barrett puts up 19/15/5 in first MSG win

Throughout both his high school and his collegiate basketball career, RJ Barrett was known to be a great all-around player. During his second career game at The Garden, which resulted in the first win of the season, he showcased exactly that.

Most Knicks fans remember this game as perhaps their most entertaining one of the season yet. David Fizdale’s team got absolutely hammered early, trailing by as much as 18 points at the end of the first quarter.

Then, a team mainly fueled by Barrett and Bobby Portis completed a remarkable comeback to beat the Chicago Bulls by a comfortable margin of seven points in regulation.

9. Dennis Smith Jr. records a 19/13 double-double

In yet another exceptional performance by a youngster, this time it was Dennis Smith Jr. to impress the crowd at The Mecca. Smith played the game his way and gifted the Knicks their first home win in almost three months.

In just a few games after being acquired from the Dallas Mavericks, this score-first point guard racked up 13 assists to go along with 19 points to break down the San Antonio Spurs defense in a total team effort that resulted in a win and 130 points scored.

What’s possibly even more impressive is the fact that Smith managed to have 13 assists … without turning the ball over. This is a feat you rarely see from inexperienced players.
