The home of exciting basketball no matter what, the New York Knicks both hosted and showcased some incredible basketball in 2019.

Whereas most fans might agree that those moments were much more bitter than sweet, being a Knicks fan always comes with an excessive amount of excitement and drama that keeps you right at the edge of your seat.
Fortunately for the long-suffering fans of New York, this is not yet another article to recap all the unfortunate events that took place over the past year. And boy, have there been a lot of such grief to choose from.
This is going to be an entirely pleasant review of the best performances that took place in Madison Square Garden, also known as The Mecca of Basketball.
The Garden has had a history of producing incredibly exciting content and great quality basketball since the early stages of the NBA. The stunning lights of being constantly under the spotlight seems to motivate players to overdo themselves and create out-of-this-world type of plays.
Some legendary stat lines have occurred right here, at the home of the New York Knicks. Certain to be remembered for the ages, these players still come to mind when we think of great MSG performances.
- Bernard King (Knicks): 60 points on Christmas Day 1984
- Kobe Bryant (Lakers): 61 points
- LeBron James (Cavaliers): 50 points & 52 points (two days after Kobe’s 61)
- Michael Jordan (Bulls): 55 points in his fifth game after returning from retirement
- Carmelo Anthony (Knicks): 62 points for the MSG record
One can clearly see that the bar is set pretty high upon walking through the tunnel of the arena. Fortunately for us, 2019 did not fail to live up to the previous expectations.
