3. Record-tying 3rd Sixth Man of the Year award

It is not every season you get to have a chance at tying records but that is exactly what Lou Williams had done. Everyone knew what they were getting from Williams when he got traded to the LA Clippers.

He had already won Sixth Man of the Year for the Clippers in 2017-18 and with the Raptors in 2014-15, but this was joining Jamal Crawford as the only two players in NBA history to win the award three times and it simply felt more memorable.

In his career, Williams was never the superstar, All-NBA caliber or even the best player on a team, but that changed when he won this award. The record-tying moment represented what Williams had done for the Clippers that year and what he will do for the team in the future, which is what makes it so memorable.

That season he was their best player and their closer. After the Clippers made all the trades, it was Williams they relied on night-in and night-out and he showed that with multiple clutch shots and big games throughout the season.

He was one of the main reasons they managed to get to the playoffs and is now helping them being a contender.

This award was just a testament to the value Williams provides for the Clippers. Hopefully, this year, there will be another memorable moment when he wins the award for the fourth time.
