Last week: Lost to New Orleans 107-99, lost at Denver 109-100, lost at Portland 113-106

This week: Monday at Golden State, Thursday at Sacramento, Saturday vs. Cleveland

After winning at San Antonio on Nov. 27, the Minnesota Timberwolves were 10-8 and in seventh place in the Western Conference race. Fast forward to now and the T-Wolves have lost 10 consecutive games, their longest skid since losing 12 in a row from March 25-April 15, 2015.

Minnesota also helped end the NBA’s longest losing streak this season when they lost to the Pelicans, who had lost 13 in a row.

Andrew Wiggins wasn’t particularly efficient, but he was prolific — something the club needed with Karl-Anthony Towns missing all three games with a sprained knee. Wiggins averaged 26.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals in 38.0 minutes per game, shooting 44.6 percent overall and making 8-of-20 from 3-point range.

Last week: Lost to Portland 111-110, lost at Clippers 120-99, lost at Oklahoma City 126-108, lost to Houston 139-125

This week: Monday vs. Denver, Friday at Golden State, Saturday at Sacramento

An 0-4 week leaves the Phoenix Suns with six consecutive losses, but still only 2½ games behind eighth-place Portland in the Western Conference. They are behind two other teams, however, in Sacramento and San Antonio. The Suns were without Devin Booker for two games and Deandre Ayton returned from suspension and left injured (sprained ankle) the same night.

Kelly Oubre Jr. turned in a strong week for Phoenix, averaging 20.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals in 34.2 minutes per game over the four games, shooting 50.8 percent overall and making 36.4 percent of 5.5 3-point attempts a game. He did what he could against the Rockets Saturday with 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting.
