1. Masai Ujiri to The Big Apple?

At first glance, this appears to be the wildest one here, though the amount of coverage and speculation it has received over the past couple of weeks is at least deserving of a mention.

New York Knicks president Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry appear to be on the hot seat and didn’t even make an appearance after the firing of David Fizdale. As a result, James Dolan has grown frustrated with this whole situation.

Dolan is reportedly eyeing the president of basketball operations of the Toronto Raptors, the one and only, Masai Ujiri.

Ujiri is the mastermind behind the whole 180-degree turn in the history of the Toronto Raptors, from being a laughing stock, to NBA Champions. He joined the Raptors after winning the Executive of the Year award with the Denver Nuggets.

According to numerous reports, the Raptors would ask for at least two future first-round picks. In that case, the Knicks would most likely throw in Dallas’ pick that will most certainly be outside the lottery, as well as a future pick of their own, in hopes that things have turned around by then.

Quite shockingly, this is not the first time the New York Knicks have traded for an executive. Scott Perry, the person they are trying to get rid of, arrived in New York in a very similar deal, though his value was not nearly as high as Ujiri’s.

From Ujiri’s perspective, the increased salary offered by the Knicks as well as the gigantic market of New York to help promote his brainchildren, Giants of Africa and Basketball Without Borders, would be more than enough of a reason to move to The Big Apple.
