On a jam-packed night with 10 games, the NBA odds look very favorable for the Portland Trail Blazers as 3½-point home favorites over the Orlando Magic.

UPDATED as of 8:35 p.m. Eastern following earlier updates at 5:50 p.m Eastern and 1:40 p.m. Eastern. Updated/new information will appear in bold italics.

With 10 games on the NBA schedule Friday night, there are a couple of games that look like solid NBA odds choices, but the Portland Trail Blazers are 3½-point favorites at home against the Orlando Magic, according to information provided courtesy of The Action Network, and taking the Blazers looks to be the best play of the day.

The Magic are just 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six games and are 1-1-1 on their current Western Conference road trip, opening with a nice win at New Orleans, followed by a loss at Utah and a push Wednesday night in Denver.

More from Hoops Habit

Portland has scuffled a bit of late, too, with a 3-6 ATS record over its last nine games. The Blazers are 2-2 ATS over their last four games, including Wednesday home cover over the Warriors.

The Blazers have gotten their act together over the last 10 games, going 6-4 straight up, and they are 4-3 ATS in their last seven at home after opening the season just 1-4 ATS at Moda Center. The Magic have split their last 10 SU and are 4-1-1 ATS on the road over their last six games, but they are 1-2 ATS in their last three against Portland.

This is the first of two meetings between these clubs this season, with it being more than a year since they last played. Orlando visited the Trail Blazers on Nov. 28, 2018, taking a 115-112 loss but covering a 10-point spread.

Cleveland: OUT–Tyler Cook (two-way, G League), Dean Wade (two-way, G League), Dylan Windler (stress reaction, left lower leg).

Notable: The Memphis Grizzlies are on something of a roll, heading into Friday with a 4-2 SU record over their last six games, going 5-1 ATS over that same stretch. The Cleveland Cavaliers got a 100-98 win at home on Wednesday against the Hornets, but missed the cover as three-point favorites.

That leaves the Cavaliers a woeful 4-14 ATS over their last 18 games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 (2-8 SU). In their last five at home. Cleveland is 2-3 ATS. The Grizzlies have gone 5-5 SU over their last 10 games and are 4-2 ATS in their last six road tilts. It’s the first meeting of the season for Memphis and the Cavs, who have covered each of the last three times they’ve played the Grizzlies.

Sacramento Kings at Indiana Pacers (minus 5)

Line had been Pacers minus 4½

TV: NBC Sports California (Kings), Fox Sports Indiana (Pacers)
Tickets: Bankers Life Fieldhouse, 7 p.m. Eastern
Records: Sacramento 12-15 (16-11 ATS, 11-5 road ATS), Indiana 19-9 (15-11-2 ATS, 8-5-2 home ATS)

Indiana: OUT–Brian Bowen (two-way, G League), Alize Johnson (G League), Jeremy Lamb (sore right groin, had previously been listed as QUESTIONABLE)Naz Mitrou-Long (right ankle sprain), Victor Oladipo (right knee rehab); AVAILABLE–T.J. Warren (illness, had previously been listed as QUESTIONABLE).

Notable: This line feels a bit off, until you remember the Sacramento Kings are a sizzling 11-5 ATS on the road this season and have covered four of their last six away from home. The Indiana Pacers have won four straight SU, covering in all of them. Indiana is 7-3 SU and ATS over their last 10, including 3-1 ATS at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

These teams haven’t played since Dec. 8, 2018, and the Pacers have taken two of the last three meetings with Sacramento SU, while the Kings are 2-1 ATS in those three games and are 6-3 ATS in their last nine matchups with Indiana. The Pacers are 5-1 ATS in their last six against teams from the Western Conference.

Detroit Pistons at Boston Celtics (minus 9)

Line had been Celtics minus 8

TV: Fox Sports Detroit (Pistons), NBC Sports Boston (Celtics)
Tickets: TD Garden, 7:30 p.m. Eastern
Records: Detroit 11-17 (11-16-1 ATS, 4-8-1 road ATS), Boston 18-7 (15-8-2 ATS, 7-3-1 home ATS)

Boston: OUT–Carsen Edwards (G League), Gordon Hayward (left foot soreness, had previously been listed as QUESTIONABLE)Vincent Poirier (right pinkie fracture), Marcus Smart (left eye infection), Tremont Waters (two-way, G League), Robert Williams (left hip bone edema); PROBABLE–Brad Wanamaker (left ankle sprain).

Notable: The Detroit Pistons did get Andre Drummond back from a two-game absence on Wednesday, but it didn’t stop them from getting worked over pretty good at home by the Raptors. Detroit looks to be short-handed as they visit the Boston Celtics Friday night. The Celtics are 4-2 ATS in their last six at home, while the Pistons have three straight road covers.

Detroit has lost two of its last three against Boston and are 2-4 ATS in its last six with the Celtics, but both of those covers came in the three-game series between the teams last season.  The Pistons are 1-3 ATS in their last four games and Boston is a dependable cover at home, going 7-3-1 ATS at TD Garden this season.

Washington Wizards at Toronto Raptors (minus 5½)

Line had been Raptors minus 6½

TV: NBC Sports Washington+ (Wizards), TSNN (Raptors), RDS2 (Raptors-French language)
Tickets: Scotiabank Arena, 7:30 p.m. Eastern
Records: Washington 8-18 (13-12-1 ATS, 8-6-1 road ATS), Toronto 19-8 (15-11 ATS, 9-4 home ATS)

Availability report
Washington: OUT–Thomas Bryant (stress reaction, right foot), Rui Hachimura (groin), Jordan McRae (right ring finger surgery), C.J. Miles (left wrist surgery), Justin Robinson (G League), Moritz Wagner (sprained left ankle), John Wall (left Achilles rehab).
Toronto: OUT–Marc Gasol (left hamstring strain), Stanley Johnson (stress reaction, left groin), Shamorie Ponds (two-way, G League), Norman Powell (left shoulder subluxation), Pascal Siakam (groin stretch, had previously been listed as AVAILABLE)Matt Thomas (left middle finger fracture); QUESTIONABLE–Fred VanVleet (right knee contusion).

Notable: The Toronto Raptors will be without Marc Gasol for the foreseeable future after he strained a hamstring in Wednesday’s win at Detroit. But the Washington Wizards are also very banged up, with starters Thomas Bryant and Rui Hachimura sidelined and one of their top reserves in Moritz Wagner also out.

The Wizards are just 1-4 ATS over their last five games and 2-4 ATS in their last six meetings with Toronto. The Raptors have split their last six at home ATS and have covered just once in their last three matchups with Washington, was the Wizards got both of their recent covers in the series last season.

New York Knicks at Miami Heat (minus 9)

Line had been Heat minus 10, then Heat minus 9½

TV: MSG Network (Knicks), Fox Sports Sun (Heat)
Tickets: AmericanAirlines Arena, 8 p.m. Eastern
Records: New York 7-21 (15-13 ATS, 8-6 road ATS), Miami 20-8 (18-9-1 ATS, 10-2 home ATS)

Availability report
New York: OUT–Kadeem Allen (two-way, G League), Ignas Brazdeikis (G League), Reggie Bullock (cervical disc herniation), Wayne Ellington (sore left Achilles), Ivan Rabb (two-way, G League); AVAILABLE–Frank Ntilikina (illness, had previously been listed as PROBABLE), Julius Randle (sore left leg, had previously been listed as PROBABLE), Allonzo Trier (concussion, had previously been listed as QUESTIONABLE.
Miami: OUT–Daryl Macon (two-way, G League), KZ Okpala (G League), Dion Waiters (team suspension), Justise Winslow (lower back strain); QUESTIONABLE–Goran Dragic (right groin strain).

Notable: Don’t look now, but the New York Knicks have actually looked like a competent NBA team under interim coach Mike Miller, going 3-3 SU and 5-1 ATS since David Fizdale was fired two weeks ago. But they will visit a Miami Heat squad that is 4-1 ATS in its last five and has won 12 of 13 SU at home.

Over the last three times the Knicks and Miami have played, it’s been all Heat, with Miami winning all three games and covering in those matchups as well. Recent trends may favor New York, which is 3-2 ATS in its last five road games while Miami has covered only twice its most recent four games at American Airlines Arena.

Dallas Mavericks at Philadelphia 76ers (minus 8)

TV: KTXA (Mavericks), NBC Sports Philadelphia (76ers), ESPN (national)
Tickets: Wells Fargo Center, 8 p.m. Eastern
Records: Dallas 18-9 (16-11 ATS, 10-2 road ATS), Philadelphia 20-9 (13-15-1 ATS, 7-7-1 home ATS)

Availability report
Dallas: OUT–Antonius Cleveland (two-way, G League), Luka Doncic (right ankle sprain), Josh Reaves (two-way, G League); QUESTIONABLE–Seth Curry (low back tightness), Delon Wright (right fifth finger sprain).
Philadelphia: OUT–Jonah Bolden (G League), Shake Milton (G League), Marial Shayok (two-way, G League), Zhaire Smith (G League).

Notable: The Philadelphia 76ers have been stumbling of late, as they are just 1-4 ATS over their last five games and have lost two in a row SU. The numbers on the Dallas Mavericks are deceptive; yes, the Mavs are 12-4 ATS over their last 16 games, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 and have covered their last five on the road, but this will be their third game without star Luka Doncic.

Despite losing two of the three games outright, Dallas has covered each of the last three times it has faced the 76ers, who took their first home loss of the season when they fell to the Heat on Wednesday. Friday night will be the first of two meetings this season between the Mavericks and Philadelphia.

Phoenix Suns at Oklahoma City Thunder (minus 4)

Line had been Thunder minus 5, then Thunder minus 4½

TV: Fox Sports Arizona (Suns), Fox Sports Oklahoma (Thunder)
Tickets: Chesapeake Energy Arena, 8 p.m. Eastern (7 p.m. local)
Records: Phoenix 11-16 (15-11-1 ATS, 7-4 road ATS), Oklahoma City 13-14 (16-11 ATS, 8-6 home ATS)

Availability report
Phoenix: OUT–Deandre Ayton (right ankle sprain), Jared Harper (two-way, G League); QUESTIONABLE–Devin Booker (right forearm contusion), Cameron Johnson (left hip soreness); PROBABLE–Tyler Johnson (illness).
Oklahoma City: OUT–Hamidou Diallo (right elbow hyperextension sprain), Luguentz Dort (two-way, G League), Kevin Hervey (two-way, G League), Justin Patton (G League), Andre Roberson (left knee injury recovery).

Notable: The Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns have been reliable covers this season, with the Suns going 5-4-1 ATS in their last 10 games despite winning only three of them outright. Oklahoma City is 6-4 ATS in its last 10, but are 5-2 SU in its last seven while getting the outright victory four times in its last five at home.

In an oddity for intraconference rivals, Phoenix and the Thunder have gone nearly a year between games, having last played each other last Dec. 28. Oklahoma City has won and covered each of the last three meetings with the Suns, who lost center Deandre Ayton to a sprained ankle in their loss at the Clippers Tuesday … the same game he had returned from a 25-game suspension. Ouch.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets (minus 10½)

Line had been Nuggets minus 10

TV: Fox Sports North (Timberwolves), Altitude Sports (Nuggets)
Tickets: Pepsi Center, 9 p.m. Eastern (7 p.m. local)
Records: Minnesota 10-16 (9-16-1 ATS, 7-6 road ATS), Denver 18-8 (12-12-2 ATS, 7-7-1 home ATS)

Availability report
Minnesota: OUT–Jake Layman (left toe sprain), Kelan Martin (two-way, G League), Jordan McLaughlin (two-way, G League), Naz Reid (G League), Karl-Anthony Towns (left knee sprain, had previously been listed as QUESTIONABLE); AVAILABLE–Jarrett Culver (flu-like symptoms, had previously been listed as QUESTIONABLE), Jaylen Nowell (G League, had previously been listed as OUT).
Denver: OUT–Bol Bol (left foot injury management), PJ Dozier (two-way, G League), Jarred Vanderbilt (G League).

Notable: Remember when the Minnesota Timberwolves were 3-0? Yeah, me neither. The Timberwolves have been awful of late, losing eight consecutive games SU while failing to cover any of them. The Denver Nuggets have straightened themselves out after a slump, winning four of their last five outright, even as they have gone just 2-2-1 ATS over that span.

When these teams met in Minneapolis on Nov. 10, Denver escaped with the 100-98 win, while the Timberwolves covered as 3½-point home underdogs, one of just two home covers all season. The good news for Minnesota is this one is on the road, where the Wolves are 7-6 ATS. At Pepsi Center, the Nuggets are just 1-5 ATS in their last six with Minnesota.

New Orleans Pelicans (minus 1) at Golden State Warriors

TV: Fox Sports New Orleans (Pelicans), NBC Sports Bay Area (Warriors)
Tickets: Chase Center, 10:30 p.m. Eastern (7:30 p.m. local)
Records: New Orleans 7-22 (10-17-1 ATS, 4-8-1 road ATS), Golden State 5-24 (12-16-1 ATS, 4-7-1 home ATS)

more nba. 2019's 10 best players. light

Availability report
New Orleans: OUT–Zylan Cheatham (two-way, G League), Josh Gray (two-way, G League), Darius Miller (right Achilles surgery), Zion Williamson (right knee scope).
Golden State: OUT–Ky Bowman (two-way, G League), Stephen Curry (left hand fracture), Alen Smailagic (G League), Klay Thompson (left ACL rehabilitation); PROBABLE–Eric Paschall (left hip soreness).

Notable: So, this is how far the mighty Golden State Warriors have fallen — home underdogs to a team that just ended a 13-game losing streak. The New Orleans Pelicans finally got off the schneid at Minnesota on Wednesday to end their franchise-record losing skid, but the Pelicans are only 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games.

Next. Best Hall of Famer from each franchise. dark

The Warriors aren’t notably better, going 1-4 ATS over their last five games and failing to cover any of their last three games at home. The teams have split their first two meetings this season, with Golden State winning at home 134-123 on Oct. 28 as 2½-point home dogs and New Orleans covering a four-point spread with a 108-100 win in the Big East on Nov. 17.
