What Minnesota Timberwolves starters want for Christmas

Jarrett Culver: A starting spot and development
It seems like the Minnesota Timberwolves have finally bend to the request of the fans and put Jarrett Culver in the starting lineup. Still, there’s definitely room for improvement for the young guard.
For starters, he doesn’t have the same ability to move the ball that Jeff Teague does. If Culver is going to keep his starting spot, he’s going to need to bump his assists average up from 2.2 a game.
What is promising for the Wolves as well as Culver is that his stats as a starter are better than his stats coming off the bench. With an average of just 4.2 extra minutes a game, Culver has bumped his starting stats to 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 0.9 steals per game.
Still, there’s always room for improvement, especially in Culver’s shooting. As a starter, Culver is shooting 38.7 percent from the field, 19.6 percent from 3-point range, and 50.0 percent from the free throw line. Obviously, these numbers have got to come up, otherwise his spot might be in jeopardy.
