3. Eric Bledsoe

The importance of having a steady presence at the point guard position cannot be understated. Eric Bledsoe is not elite by any means, but he comes to work every day and does his thing without complaint (at least since, coming to Milwaukee, that is).

February was one of Bledsoe’s best months. In 10 games, the veteran floor general averaged 15.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest. He did so on 49.1 percent shooting from the floor and connected on a scorching 40.8 percent of his 3-point attempts. This parlayed into a four-year, $70 million contract extension he’d go on to sign at the beginning of March.

Things didn’t go quite as smoothly in the postseason, though. Over the course of the Milwaukee Bucks’ 15 playoff games last season, Bledsoe’s stat line fell to 13.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists on a 41.1 field goal percentage and 3-point percentage of 23.6.

The 30-year-old has returned to form to start the 2019-20 campaign, as he’s making 47.7 percent of his shots from the field and a respectable 34.4 percent from deep. As he deals with a right fibula avulsion fracture for a bit, the Bucks will look to stay afloat in his absence.

Once Bledsoe returns to the fold, expect him to hit the ground running and continue to prove his value on the court. What you see is what you get with Bledsoe, and that’s a solid point guard with the ability to do a little bit of everything.
