Last week: Lost to Sacramento 110-106, beat Detroit at Mexico City 122-111, lost to Miami 122-118 (OT)

It was the worst nightmare for the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday against the Heat — Slovenian sensation Luka Doncic down with an injury. The phenom went down less than two minutes into the game with a sprained ankle and did not return. The Mavs showed some fight, getting the game to overtime after trailing by 23 in the first half before falling 122-118.

Doncic still did enough in the first two games of the week to average 23.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 23.5 minutes per game, shooting 49.0 percent overall and hitting 34.6 percent of his 8.7 long-range attempts per game. In the win over the Pistons Thursday in Mexico City, Doncic had his second 40-point triple-double of the year — 41 points, 12 boards and 11 dimes.
