Last week: Won at Washington 135-119, won at Indiana 110-99, won at Toronto 112-92, won at Minnesota 124-117, lost at Chicago 109-106

This week: Tuesday vs. Phoenix, Thursday vs. Houston, Saturday at San Antonio

The LA Clippers dropped the first and last games on their six-game road trip, but the four wins in the middle made it a successful journey at 4-2. Included in that was their 4-1 mark last week, marred only by a surprising loss at Chicago on Saturday — although it was the Clippers’ fifth game in seven days.

With Kawhi Leonard out twice during the week on back-to-backs and Patrick Beverley and Lou Williams out with injuries the last two games, Paul George carried a load on his shoulders, averaging 29.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.2 steals in 32.9 minutes per game, shooting 44.6 percent overall and 35.6 percent on 11.8 3-point attempts per game.

Last week: Beat Chicago 110-105 (OT), beat Atlanta 135-121 (OT), lost to Lakers 113-110, won at Dallas 122-118 (OT)

This week: Monday at Memphis, Wednesday at Philadelphia, Friday vs. New York

Who says NBA games are 48 minutes long? The Miami Heat apparently don’t mind a little extra duty. Last week, the Heat played three overtime games and won them all. Miami is now an NBA-best 5-0 in overtime games. And hey, they could have had a 4-0 week, save for a couple of officiating gaffes in the final 4.2 seconds against the Lakers Friday night.

The maturation of Bam Adebayo is happening quickly now. He had his first two career triple-doubles last week and averaged 20.3 points, 11.8 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks in 39.3 minutes per game, shooting 64.0 percent overall. Adebayo hung 30 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists on the Hawks before putting up 18 points, 11 boards and 10 dimes at Dallas.
