The 2019 calendar year certainly wasn’t lacking in NBA theatrics, a time that was plentiful with drama both on and off the court.

The departure of the decade has caused many to cast a 10-year long net when looking back, which makes it easy to forget all the incredible moments that happened in the NBA over just the previous year — roughly.

When you stop and give it a moment, it’s crazy to think of everything that occurred really started just in April.

The playoff produced a wild mixture of clutch moments along with injury controversy and feats of historical proportions. A new lottery system did its intended job with unexpected results that threw the entire future of the NBA off its predicted axis.

We’ve seen some remarkable stretches of spending during recent free agency periods. None, however, cut as deep as the 2019 class, whose empowerment to do as they pleased made changes more drastic than what the NBA is used to even amid today’s rapid player movement.

None of this even touches on the elite, unique and even rarely-seen talent spread across the NBA with ridiculous feats of excellence on a nightly basis.

It’s been an eventful year, one the masses will look back on as a pivotal turning point for whatever the future of the league holds. Before it’s gone for good, it’s important to turn around and acknowledge just a few of the moments that played a part.
