5 best 2019 moments for Los Angeles Lakers
By Amaar Burton
5. Lance makes ’em dance
The Los Angeles Lakers are rolling through the first half of this season like a team that doesn’t need any tinkering; a classic “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” scenario. But for sheer entertainment value, there is a piece of me that wishes Lance Stephenson would come back to L.A.
Stephenson’s one-season stint with the Lakers wasn’t great. He averaged 7.2 points and 2.1 assists per game on 42.6 percent field goal shooting for a lottery team.
But Lance provided plenty of moments that either got the crowd hyped, made the nightly highlight reel, or simply made you laugh.

All of those elements combined on March 26 against the Washington Wizards.
In the closing seconds of the first quarter, Stephenson began trying to break down veteran Jeff Green off the dribble.
Lance went into his NYC playground bag and, with the help of a subtle step on the foot, he sent Green stumbling into viral infamy as he pulled up and hit a jumper for the exclamation point.
The Staples Center crowd, the national TV announcers and the Lakers’ bench all went nuts. Lance went nuts, dancing in celebration and unable to stop himself from laughing at what he’d done.
It was the most fun moment of a season that generally wasn’t a lot of fun for Lakers fans.
