When the Minnesota Timberwolves folded in overtime Friday night at Oklahoma City, getting outscored 17-5 in the extra five minutes, it gave the Wolves their longest losing streak of the season at three games and sent them below .500 for the first time in 2019-20.
Karl-Anthony Towns did what he could against the Thunder with 30 points, eight assists and five rebounds. For the week, Towns hung up 25.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 36.7 minutes per game, while shooting 50.9 percent overall and 37.5 percent on 6.0 3-point attempts per game.

With a pair of blowout wins and a 3-1 week overall, the Detroit Pistons showed signs of snapping out of their early funk. The wins over the Spurs and at Cleveland marked the first time all season the Pistons won consecutive games and doing so by a combined 67 points just added a bit of emphasis to it.
Christian Wood was an opportunist against San Antonio, posting a 28-point, 10-rebound double-double in just 22 minutes. The 28 points were a career-high for Wood. Andre Drummond averaged 18.5 points, 16.5 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.8 steals in 32.8 minutes per game last week, shooting 54.4 percent overall and going 0-for-2 from deep.
