With their win at Chicago on Friday, the Golden State Warriors salvaged the final game of a 1-4 road trip, while also completing a season sweep of the Bulls (which accounts for 40 percent of their win total this season). It’s still difficult to get used to how bad this Warriors team is — four years after starting a season with 24 consecutive wins, Golden State is 5-19 this season.

Rookie Eric Paschall continues to be a beacon amid the rubble, averaging 17.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 34.7 minutes per game last week, shooting 54.2 percent overall and knocking down 4-of-8 from 3-point range. The club also got D’Angelo Russell back after he had sat out nine games with a sprained right thumb.

With reports circulating, per The Athletic (subscription required), that some Cleveland Cavaliers players are not happy with coach John Beilein, veteran Tristan Thompson pushed back against the anonymous players, telling Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com:

"“Y’all better find them names, ’cause I’ll pull up on ’em right now. You can’t do that s—. … Guys got to look in the mirror. So I hope whoever reported that was just bulls——g and blamed it on a player.”"

With their losing streak now at six, the Cavs didn’t even have a particularly strong individual game last week. Collin Sexton had 22 points and two steals in the blowout loss to the Pistons. For the week, Thompson averaged 10.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 28.1 minutes per game, shooting 46.7 percent overall. He also had three steals and three blocks in the three games.
