A rebuilding team with multiple young assets and a few injury-prone veterans, the 2019-20 NBA season has been wildly unpredictable for Cleveland.
The Cavaliers began the season hopeful that their starting five could continue the terrific play that helped them jump out to a 4-5 start. Since then, the Cavaliers have dropped 10 of their last 11 games and are barreling towards the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.
The inconsistency has come from all across the board. A red-hot start to the season from Tristan Thompson has cooled down while Kevin Love and Collin Sexton periodically have solid scoring nights.
One thing is for certain, this team is playing with a lot more energy and enthusiasm than last year. Though their winning percentage is only slightly increased, this year’s squad is already much more promising than before.
