Many factors come into play when talking about transitioning into an NBA locker room. Constant travel along with the physical and mental demands of the next level can take some getting used to.
Fortunately for fans of the league, this crop of rookies came in and started producing right out of the gate with the injury-related exception of one Zion Williamson.
Even though a few guys have started to hit a proverbial wall in terms of their efficiency and impact on winning games, others are finally getting their footing underneath them and are really starting to blossom on both ends of the floor.
The Memphis Grizzlies‘ Brandon Clarke, however, has continued to blow expectations out of the water and is rising fast past the rest of his peers, keeping firm pace with his teammate Ja Morant.
While he may not have the same counting number averages as some of the other rookies in situations with more playing time and opportunity, Clarke is making the most out of what he’s been given.
He’s the oldest rookie in his class to lace up this year, but age is never a guarantee when determining success (just ask Luka Doncic).
That being said, let’s get into this week’s edition of the ladder, starting with a new face from the Atlanta Hawks.
