Should Golden State Warriors consider trading Draymond Green?

Final thoughts
While Draymond Green is arguably the best defensive-oriented (due to lack of offensive skills) All-Star since Ben Wallace and Metta World Peace, the Golden State Warriors need much more than him on offense than ever. So far, appearing in 14 out of 23 games this season, Draymond hasn’t placed his defensive imprint on any of the games he has played.
In 2016-17, Green was the first player in NBA history to record a triple-double with rebounds, blocks, and steals. But with the this season’s edition of the Warriors needing Draymond to prove his value more than ever, he’s not responding.
His extension includes a $27.59 million player option for the final season in 2023-24. If he exercises his option and becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2024, Draymond will be 33 going on 34 years old and likely nearing the conclusion of his NBA career.
At this point during the early season, the Warriors find themselves last in the Pacific Division and have the worst record in the NBA (two more losses than the 4-17 New York Knicks).
Hopefully Draymond can use this opportunity to make that progression on offense that was halted four seasons ago when Kevin Durant arrived and keep the Warriors away from becoming a permanent bottom-dweller in the league.
