It won’t get any easier for the Golden State Warriors, who continue a five-game Eastern Conference road trip this week after opening the sojourn with a drubbing in Miami, the ninth loss by at least 10 points by the Warriors in 20 games this season. Last season, Golden State had 10 such losses over the full 82-game regular season schedule.

The Warriors have been an equal-opportunity team this season, currently 2-9 on the road and 2-7 in their spanking new home arena, the Chase Center. It’s been a big letdown following five straight trips to the NBA Finals and three championships in the last five years, but the Warriors are just battered.

Kevon Looney‘s status is now day-to-day, though he has not played in a game since the opener due to neuropathy. Guard D’Angelo Russell is traveling with the team on its current road trip, but will not play Sunday at Orlando or Monday at Atlanta, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. He’s already missed seven games with a sprained right thumb.

Rookie Eric Paschall continued to impress, averaging 18.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in 32.0 minutes per game in last week’s three games, shooting 52.8 percent overall and hitting 3-of-5 from 3-point range. The second-round pick is now averaging 17.0 points and 5.2 boards per game this season.

Last week: Lost at Miami 117-100, beat Detroit 102-101, won at Detroit 110-107, lost at Milwaukee 137-96

Next week: Monday vs. Phoenix, Wednesday vs. Golden State, Friday vs. Brooklyn

It was a week of extremes for the Charlotte Hornets, who went 2-2 with a pair of narrow wins over the Pistons to contrast with two blowout losses at Miami and Milwaukee.

Now Charlotte opens a five-game homestand on Monday with the Suns, with games this week also against the Warriors and Nets.

Big man Cody Zeller returned in the loss to the Bucks after missing two games with a hip problem, coming off the bench to score 11 points with five rebounds in 20 minutes.

Second-year sensation Devonte’ Graham continues to impress, setting a career-high in the Wednesday’s win over Detroit with 15 assists. For the week, he averaged 18.0 points, 9.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds in 34.3 minutes per game, shooting 42.6 percent overall and 42.3 percent on 6.5 3-point attempts per game.
