3. Inexperience

It’s easy to forget that this Cleveland Cavaliers squad is still extremely young.

Currently, Kevin Love is the oldest player on the roster at 31. Meanwhile, Tristan Thompson is the longest-tenured player, being one of only four active players to spend nine or more seasons with the same team.

Outside of these vets, the Cavaliers have boasted a rotation consisting of two rookies, a sophomore point guard and a third-year player that has only played one season as a key player in Cedi Osman.

Darius Garland has started in every game thus far this season and is only 20 years old. As for Kevin Porter Jr., he has played significant minutes off the bench at 19 years of age.

The average age of the Cavaliers is 25 years old. This makes them the 12th-youngest team in the league and the ninth-least experienced.

Consequently, it should come as no surprise that this team has hit a speed bump early in the season. The offense has had some awkward moments as players are still learning each other’s tendencies.

Luckily, this team loves playing together. The camaraderie is real and there is no doubt that the team’s chemistry will improve over time.
