2. Rotation

One area where Andrew Wiggins had no real competition was the wing slot that he filled. Over his first five seasons, Wiggins has been the best option for the Minnesota Timberwolves to play at that spot. That is, until this season. Josh Okogie has stepped up tremendously and has threatened to move Wiggins down to the 3 spot where Treveon Graham currently plays.

But, as controversial as this move might be, it could be beneficial for Minnesota to keep Wiggins in that starting 2 spot and having Okogie and Jarrett Culver coming in with the second unit. Okogie and Culver are both still young players who still have some holes in their game that could show up if they were just handed a larger role right away.

This competition though could help Wiggins develop that urgency in his game which has always been missing. If he realizes, which it seems like he has, that his spot is up for grabs, he’s going to try to keep it to the best of his abilities, which most fans would agree are enough to help the team.
