These new-look New York Knicks are off to a rough start into their 2019-20 campaign with some clear indicators on why that is happening.

It has been quite the roller coaster ride thus far for the New York Knicks and the team’s fans and we’re not even a quarter into the 2019-20 NBA season yet. So buckle your seat belts, Knicks fans.

It turns out it is extremely hard to describe this team and its level of play during these opening games of the season. Sure, most teams show both bright spots and glaring weaknesses but the Knicks, well … they’re just the Knicks.

On the downside, they have continuously proved to be inconsistent both offensively and defensively.

They keep forcing the ball to Julius Randle — who is having a pretty disappointing freshman season with the Knicks — in the post. And at those times when Randle either keeps missing shots or turning the ball over, the offense will still run through him, like some sort of one-man high school team.

This was definitely the case during their game against the Charlotte Hornets, where it seemed like there was very little coaching included at the last play.

On a more positive note, they are currently leading the league in Grudges Held after sweeping the season series against Kristaps Porzingis and the Dallas Mavericks 2-0.

As this newly-formed team continues its run for the rise in the standings, let’s take a look at some of the most defining stats of the season so far.
