2. Los Angeles Lakers

Joakim Noah has already called the United Center and Madison Square Garden home. He may as well find a way to add the Staples Center to his bingo card.

The Los Angeles Lakers have put together a strange collection of veterans over the years, with this campaign being no different. They’re obviously led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but from there, it gets wild. That’s because they also have the likes of JaVale McGee, Avery Bradley and Alex Caruso, among others.

Noah would fit like a glove.

With James and Davis, coach Frank Vogel has the luxury of positional versatility, as he can play two of his superstars at virtually any spot. He may, however, want to avoid the wear-and-tear that comes with forcing his superstars to bang around on the inside of the paint.

So far, McGee has made every start at center, averaging 6.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Those numbers hover around his career average and should be sustainable. DeMarcus Cousins won’t be back this season after tearing his ACL over the summer.

Noah could again be a good insurance policy, especially if something happens to McGee or his play slips. Noah is also a defensive-minded center, which would be a great fit in Vogel’s system.
