Los Angeles Lakers story lines no one is talking about

The Los Angeles Lakers are the talk of the NBA and constantly under the media spotlight. But some things about this team have still flown under the radar.
It was always safe to assume the Los Angeles Lakers would be the most talked-about team in the NBA this season, but L.A.’s fast start (11-2) has only hammered that point home.

With two of the league’s biggest superstars in their starting five — one of whom happens to be the most polarizing figure in modern basketball history — and championship expectations in a major media market, the Lakers live under a microscope.
As usual, everything LeBron James does on and off the court is analyzed and debated to death. This season he’s made headlines for his triple-doubles and dunks, but he’s also been in the news for his hairline and his stance on Chinese politics.
Anthony Davis, meanwhile, is just getting his first taste of true mega-stardom.
While the All-NBA and All-Defensive power forward has been one of the league’s best players for a while, he reached those heights while playing for the New Orleans Pelicans. Playing for the Lakers means operating on a different level.
It seems the Lakers are on national TV at least once a week, they often headline the nightly sports highlight shows and dominate the social media discussion. This team draws more eyeballs and inspires more Twitter fingers than any other in the league.
As much as they are being watched and covered from every angle, however, some interesting things are happening with the Lakers that aren’t being talked about.
