2. LeBron James has no plans to retire soon

As we’ve seen so far this season, LeBron James still has plenty of terrific basketball left in him. He’s already near the top of the early MVP candidates lists, as he leads the league in triple-doubles and assists per game. Despite his age (34), the King simply isn’t slowing down.

Regardless of how dominant he’s been, there will always be those folks just waiting for Father Time to catch up with James. It was a talking point the moment he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers and continued to be heading into his second season in purple and gold.

Well, if you were thinking LeBron would hang up his sneakers soon, don’t hold your breath.

By the sound of it, we could have another decade or so of the King. And if he’s anything like Tom Brady, we could see him playing until he’s “46 or 47.

While his effectiveness may eventually wane, James shouldn’t have any problem playing well into his 40s. That would give us at least another six or seven years of watching his dazzling, well-balanced style of play with the Lakers — and potentially other clubs.

For the time being, let’s just enjoy what he’s doing for the Lake Show in 2019-20.
