3 Golden State Warriors who need to step up with Stephen Curry out

Final thoughts
After the slew of injuries the Golden State Warriors have suffered within the last month, they are 2-9 and have the worst record in the Western Conference.
Currently, the Warriors have the third-worst point-differential in the NBA (minus-9.5), third-worst in points allowed (121.2), and 14th in scoring (111.7).
For the first time in their careers, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are absent at the same time and the results have shown just how significant their impact is on the Warriors.
For most of the season, if not the entire one, Draymond Green and D’Angelo Russell will need to lead the Warriors on both ends of the floor with hopes of getting sufficient help to not suddenly become the laughingstock of the league.
The harsh reality is that without Curry and Klay, the Warriors will continue to struggle on both ends of the floor and likely not make the playoffs for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
Besides the injuries, coach Steve Kerr is finally going to experience coaching a young and almost entirely new roster, which will put his abilities to the ultimate test. Such a rocky first season will prove to be a boost to the development of the young players, which is critical for the future of the franchise.
To end on a positive note, Steve Kerr and the Warriors can focus on building their identity without their superstar players and face a situation all dynasties experience — a losing season.
